Amin Mitha understands financial strategies for successful businesses, from small,family-owned companies to large corporations that employ hundreds of people. That’s because prior to his financial services career, Amin spent 25 years in the realm of small business and large corporation owners. He is well-versed in the planning needs of businesses in every stage of development; from start-ups to growing companies to mature organizations to those transferring to successors.

When he works with business owners, Amin always focuses on strategies for both thebusiness and the owner’s personal and family protection needs. He begins by helpinghis business-owner clients take steps to mitigate some of the risks that can threaten the viability of their businesses, such as protecting the business from the loss of a key employee, or protecting the business’s cash flow. Amin works with many businesses on designing and implementing employee benefit plans to help them attract and reward top talent. Amin feels strongly that personal protection planning is equally important for business owners and works with them to protect their incomes, plan for retirement and develop an estate plan.

Amin graduated from the University of Auckland in New Zealand with a Master’s in Science, and spent the next 25 years as a business owner and entrepreneur. In 2010, Amin made the decision to join The Piedmont Group of Atlanta, and work as a partner to his wife, Nadya. In this way Amin could use his experience and personal knowledge of family business dynamics for a successful financial services career.

After his first six months at The Piedmont Group, Amin achieved the agency’s “Rising Leader” award and earned the second-year award the following year. In 2012 he earned attendance to MassMutual’s “Leaders Conference” trip, recognizing his successful production over the year.

Amin is active in community and spiritual endeavors. He was the Southeast Regional Vice Chair of the Aga Khan Foundation, an organization focusing on mind, body and spirit in the areas of health, finances, education and family from 2010 to 2012. Amin is a founding board member of the Findley Oaks Foundation, and a member of Taste of John’s Creek. He resides in the Johns Creek area with Nadya and their two young children.
